Who do I contact if I want to report a game violation or have something stolen in the field on Fort Riley? Call FR Dispatch at 785-239-3055 and ask for a fort riley game warden.
I'm not hunting, I'm just sight seeing or hiking in the training areas. Do I need to be checked-in on iSportsman? Yes, all individuals accessing a training area must have an iSportsman account and check-in and check-out during each visit.
Do I need to wear blaze orange when I'm recreating on Fort Riley? During the time periods September 1- May 31, all recreationist in a training or maneuver area that are not in a stationary position must wear at least one of the following articles of visible, external apparel with at least 50 percent of its surface area solid blaze orange in color: hat, cap, vest, coat, jacket, sweatshirt, shirt, or coveralls. Also, during any Fort Riley firearms deer season, all individuals in training and maneuver areas open to firearms deer hunting shall wear the following safety clothing at all times, which must be colored a blaze orange: a cap or hat, and an outer cover of a coat, vest, sweater, coveralls, or shirt. The outer cover must have at least 100 square inches of blaze orange colored surface visible on the front and 100 square inches of blazed orange colored surface on the back.
Where can I drive while recreating on Fort Riley? All vehicles used by recreationists are restricted to improved roads (paved or gravel) andother established trails marked on the current version of the Fort Riley OutdoorRecreation Map. The only exceptions are that a vehicle may be used off road to retrievedowned deer or elk. Handicap hunters with a state issued handicap placard ordesignated license plate may use secondary trails not specifically marked on the FortRiley Outdoor Recreation and Fuel Wood Cutting Map to include any pathway on whichthe vegetation is absent or markedly reduced across the entire width of the trail. Off-roadtravel by an unauthorized vehicle is prohibited. When parking, do not block traffic flow and do not block gate access.
